IZABO Jewellery Design

Hello there, my name is Izabella and I'm the person behind IZABO Jewellery Design. In 2020, during a family holiday in Cornwall, I decided to try my hand at crafting jewellery using the treasures my daughters and I had found on the beautiful Cornish beaches. This marked the first small step towards the establishment of IZABO Jewellery Design.I started creating wire-wrapped jewellery, and not long after that I bought my first torch and silver clay kit. The first time I fired the clay, I was completely hooked—it just clicked! Transforming clay into silver felt like magic, and to this day, I find soldering to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of silversmithing.IZABO, based in Henfield, West Sussex, officially came into existence in 2023 with the encouragement of friends and family. I was (and still am!) thrilled to see that people are interested in my creations, and I can honestly say that every order brings about a little happy dance. As long as I remember I loved finding treasures. It always had to be something special, sparkly and unique. Trinket dishes, gemstones, rings... My style is a blend of influences from various places. I find inspiration in the countryside around my home, the nearby sea, enchanting stories I read to my daughters, and the stars and the Moon above us. As someone rightly said, "Art is Everywhere," and I truly believe in that.Ancient history and folklore have fascinated me since I was young—I even studied Ancient History and Ethnology, and it continues to inspire my creations. I like to think of my pieces as unique amulets and magical items, infused with creative energy and love. Each piece from IZABO is carefully designed and crafted by me, using traditional metalsmithing techniques. I prioritize sustainability by using recycled sterling silver and sourcing gemstones from responsible traders. Following a zero-waste approach, every offcut, design mishap, and even silver sawdust is repurposed. With the addition of beautiful crystals and a touch of magic, the outcome is my own kind of unique, gentle bohemian treasure that’s easy to wear for anyone.Discover more about the story behind IZABO Jewellery Design in this meet the artisan interview.
