Sussex Art Print

Sussex is a charming English county that lies south of London and is where I spent three years of my life. I studied illustration and printmaking in Brighton and living by the sea, experiencing life as an art student in this vibrant seaside town, was wonderful. My illustration of Sussex features many of the historic coastal towns and cities, from Chichester in West Sussex to Rye in the East. Piers and lighthouses jut out into the English Channel all the way along the coast. Inland, there are the breathtakingly beautiful hill ranges of the South Downs and High Weald together with the bleak and wild salt marshes at Romney and Selsey, a haven for bird life.

Sussex is dotted with magnificent castles and palaces, telling stories of victories and wealth from times past. One of our nation's most significant historic events: The Battle of Hastings, changed the course of British history and has therefore made its way into my vision of super Sussex.
