I love this part of Scotland, not just for its beauty, but because it feels like home. The drive through the glorious Perthshire countryside on the road to Dundee always brings me joy.

The view of the River Tay from the bridge near Perth was always a joyous sight for me, meaning that I was only 30 minutes away from home in Dundee. I used to live a six-hour drive away, so reaching this point meant I was on the home stretch and would soon see friends and family.

I added a knitted texture to the fields in my artwork, making the landscape resemble a rich tapestry of green wool to remind me of the cute sheep I would see grazing on the lush fields along the river.

When I took the original photo for this print, from high up on the hill, the River Tay gleamed silver in the sun, and the Perth to Dundee road appeared as a small line in the distance.
