THE IMAGE
This giclée print is inspired by the stunning Fife coastline, by Tayport. You can see Tenstmuir Forest in the distance. The colours and textures were just amazing, even if the weather wasn't! The tide was out on my visit, revealing the textures of the reed beds which makes for interesting art. You might spot some tweed textures in the reeds and some watery brushstrokes added to the sky above the seagulls.
A little scientific factoid - "Saltmarshes are one of the most highly productive ecosystems in the world. And they can beat tropical rainforests hands down in how much carbon they actually store." Dr Clare Maynard, Green Shores project.
